Best casting choice or worst casting choice?

It sounds like a My Fair Lady remake is well on its way to being made. Which is certainly exciting enough for me. But how could it be made even more exciting? By putting Hugh Grant in a leading role, of course!

There are so many actresses I can think of who would be close to perfect to take Julie Andrews' role as Eliza Doolittle. But it sounds like Carey Mulligan has snagged the role, and, oh my God, isn't she absolutely perfect for it?

And now they're working on filling Rex Harrisons' role of Professor Higgins. And they're talking about giving it to Hugh Grant! According to a source, "Although his name scarcely has the lustre of Sir Rex Harrison, Hugh Grant is the surprise front-runner to play Henry Higgins in Sir Cameron Mackintosh's remake of the classic film My Fair Lady."

Sure, in a way it's kind of crazy; but in a way it's also kind of perfect. It's been a while since we've seen Hugh Grant in a really good movie and we're thinking this could be it. Some are saying Hugh is the safe choice for the role, but we think he could bring a whole lot of fun to it.

People seem to either love Hugh Grant or hate Hugh Grant, so what do you think of this potential news?
