Hugh Jackman and Robert Pattinson Team Up for Film
That's a whole lotta hair.
What do you get when you mix Wolverines and vampires? Well, we don't really know, but now that Hugh Jackman and Robert Pattinson have signed up to be co-stars of an upcoming film, we're all going to find out.
The movie's called Captives Unbound. Set in 1859, it's about a frontier woman (Rachel Weisz) whose husband is killed and children kidnapped. Jackman will play the rugged mountain man who saves her, and Pattinson will be her oldest son.
According to director Madeline Stowe, Jackman signed on just weeks ago, but Robert Pattinson agreed long before Twilight ever made him a star.
.
Stowe, of Last of the Mohicans fame, wrote the script and will direct the film. In 1993 she was offered $5 million for the rights from Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott, but she declined in order to keep creative control.
As it turns out, it was a smart move on her part, because now she has two of Hollywood's hottest stars in the lead roles.
So hopefully all the Twilighters and X-Men fans can get along. We'll just have to see if the theaters are big enough for the both of us.
.
In other news, did you know that it was Robert Pattinson's birthday the other day? He turned 23 years old - here are some pics of his birthday evening out in Vancouver, B.C.
