Hugh Jackman delights Tokyo fans
Hugh Jackman delighted hundreds of cheering fans in Tokyo as he announced: “Wolverine 2 is coming to Japan.” The actor made the speech as he appeared at the premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine held at Roppongi Hills.
It is no coincidence that Japan was the last country to premiere the film - the Hollywood heartthrob’s journey to the Far East has doubled as a research trip for the film’s sequel X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2. Jackman arrived on the back of a motorcycle for the premiere and spoke to the crowd from the stage before cutting a huge cake for good luck. Earlier this week, Hugh told a Japanese TV station: "The most famous Wolverine comic book was set in Japan so we want to do it here. It's the movie I always wanted to do with Wolverine. "We'll be here hopefully for all of it but at least for part of it shooting here."
