Inside Paris Hilton's Birthday Bash In Vegas
LimeLife was there.
"Just walked into dinner at Tao. Walking in was crazy! There were tons of people all waiting to greet me and say Happy Birthday! So Sweet! :)"
This was Paris Hilton's tweet 10 p.m. West Coast time Saturday after she exited the red carpet to kick off her birthday party at Tao at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. Thanks to the North American Poker Tour/PokerStars.net for the royal weekend hookup, LimeLife was on the red carpet and the guest list for Paris Hilton's first-class birthday party at Tao.
The casino at the Venetian was standing-room only as the crowd waiting for now-29-year-old Paris Hilton to step onto the carpet. Hotel guests and Tao nightclub hopefuls lined the staircases and hotel's upper levels for a first-hand glimpse at Paris. She arrived approximately 40 minutes behind schedule, but finally showed up in a white sleeveless mini-dress, a twisty updo, diamond Chanel earrings, and almond-toed white patent-leather heels. (Paris also sported a ring on her left finger, but it was clearly costume jewelry. It's also important to note that because of our weekend press time, photos aren't yet available.) The crowed blasted her with massive applause and a "Happy Birthday" serenade throughout the Venetian's foyer.
Boyfriend Doug Reinhardt was on Paris' arm for her red carpet interview with Robin Leach, and after five minutes of voguing her classic poses for the cameras, a pack of six of Paris' friends made their high-profile entrance. Then her parents Richard and Kathy Hilton arrived, posing obligingly for cameras as well.
Paris Hilton's birthday party VIPs hung in the coveted upper level of Tao while dancers and hundreds of clubgoers occupied the club. Paris' birthday delicacy was a massive stack of cupcakes, and she seemed to loved the expense that her party throwers had splashed out on her birthday -- she tweeted, "Tao is so much fun! Loves it! My boy @DJVice is spinning on the turn tables! Huge! :)"
Perez Hilton was rumored to be present and then he departed from Vegas on Sunday afternoon. Paris, whose official birthday falls on February 17, tweeted in the wee hours the day after her party, "Vegas is crazy! I've never seen Tao so packed! It seemed like it was New Year's Eve! GREAT Night!" Paris was still in Vegas on Sunday afternoon, when witnesses heard her saying that she loves this town.
