Something's been stuck in our craw since we caught the episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8 in which they admitted that they were separating. Jon Gosselin seemed all too pleased with the idea of starting over, and PEOPLE editor Kate Coyne told the Today Show that "Jon has wanted this for a long time."
What's a woman to do when her guy starts pulling away? Furthermore, what are the warning signs that your partner has himself in mind?
Here are some warning signs of a boyfriend or husband with shifting priorities.
*He doesn't want to do anything that he "doesn't enjoy," even though it's important for the rest of the family (or just you). We saw Jon Gosselin spending more and more time away from home, allegedly partying with his mistress.
*He's become childish with his personal possessions and his friends. Jon spent more time with people that were not friends with Kate Gosselin.
*Communication isn't as clear. You rarely hear both sides of the story before ultimatums start coming up. According to reports, Jon refused to speak to Kate as she attempted to reason with him.
*You suspect your partner is spending significant time with someone else, either a best friend or someone you expect to be more. Jon's cheating rumors have been all over the tabs for months. Whether or not they are true, they had to hurt Kate.
*Your partner doesn't seem overly concerned about breaking up. Jon asked Kate for a divorce, although she was the one who filed his week after she said she had "no choice."
