It'll Be a "Mad" Summer On AMC
Don Draper and Co. set to return for Season Three.
We were getting a little nervous there for a minute. AMC's delay in announcing the details of Season Three of our favorite cable series had us sweatin'. Would show creator, Matthew Weiner, walk away? Would Jon Hamm get the compensation he was looking for? Would we be denied our yearly fix of highballs, hijinks, and high-quality drama?
Turns out there's nothing to fear but fear itself. AMC announced yesterday afternoon that Mad Men would return for its third season this summer, despite the ongoing contract negotiations.
The much-loved show will provide the lead-in for the new AMC series The Prisioner, a remake of the classic 1960s British drama. James Caviezel (who is sometimes knows as Jesus) stars alongside the fabulous Ian McKellen.
If you haven't yet experienced the magnificence that is Mad Men, now's the time to check it out. Season Two is now available on DVD. Spend some long hours in a dark room with Jon Hamm through the rest of winter. You'll be happy you did.
