J Crew Partners with Frieda and Nellie Jewelry
An unlikely, but perfect pair
When we first heard that J. Crew was teaming up with Frieda & Nellie Jewelry, we were totally surprised. After all, we never thought J. Crew would be interested in selling friendship-type bracelets, albeit the cutest friendship bracelets ever. But the more we think about it, the more we love this collaboration!
Sometimes we wish J. Crew would get a little bit younger and more fun, all while keeping their sophistication (and not actually attracting younger shoppers). A collaboration with Frieda & Nellie is the perfect way to do it!
Frieda & Nellie combine the traditional, brightly colored friendship bracelet, with vintage costume jewelry, making an absolutely lovely combination! The business was started in 2009 by two best friends, Stacy Herzog and Sarah Reid and the jewelry was quickly noticed by several J. Crew staffers. Imagine how it must feel to have your brand new jewelry line noticed by J. Crew?! This is sure to get the two friends tons of attention.
The J. Crew, Frieda & Nellie jewelry line launches today at J. Crew's Soho and East Hampton stores in New York and will hopefully spread from there. We want to get our hands on some of the beautiful pieces! They're set to run at $130-$250. So, yes, a little bit more expensive than the friendship bracelets you made in summer camp, but still less expensive than lots of your grandma's vintage jewelry!
The bracelet pictured above is an example of a Frieda & Nellie bracelet. We're crazy about the bright colors and vintage sophistication. We seriously hope the J. Crew collaboration launches these ladies into fame.
