James Franco to Appear on 'General Hospital'
Milk does a body good.
Some would say that after starring in an Oscar-winning film, a stint on a tv soap opera might be a step backwards. But not James Franco. The young actor, who portrayed Harvey Milk's lover in Milk, is set to guest star on ABC's General Hosptal.
James Franco, 31, will have an extended role in the long-running television series. Beginning November 20th, he will play a mystery character that stays in the town of Port Charles for about two months.
"It's an honor that an actor of Franco's caliber would choose to spend some of his valuable time in Port Charles," said the show's executive producer Jill Farren Phelps.
There's no word yet on what sort of story-line Franco's mystery character will be involved in, but if it's like most soap operas we expect him to get in some crazy shenanigans. Maybe he'll be poisoned by his lover's jealous boyfriend, then he'll come back from the dead only for people to realize it's actually his evil twin.
Franco also stars in the upcoming Allen Ginsberg biopic, Howl, which hits theaters next year.
