James Franco's Brother Stars on Scrubs
We didn't even know he had a brother
But, we're glad the secret's finally out! James Franco's younger brother, Dave, is a new star on Scrubs! We're thrilled Scrubs is back, but we're still coming to terms with the fact it's going to be changing a lot (no more Zach Braff!), but we think Dave Franco will help make the transition a bit easier.
So, Scrubs is back, but under one condition. A new generation is coming in. And that new generation includes James Franco's brother, Dave Franco. We don't know a whole lot about him, but we figure he must be pretty awesome if he's anything like his brother. Not to mention, the Scrubs cast already loves him. According to Zach Braff, "We love Dave Franco, we live vicariously through him. He's young, handsome... He really should be on the CW, he should be on Gossip Girl. I don't know how they didn't nab him up, but we got him; Dave's our CW."
"Dave's our CW"! We love that! But even with the addition of Dave, do you think you're going to be OK with a Scrubs that doesn't involve Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke? We just can't imagine it. But they're only going to be on the first four shows of the season, so it's something we're going to have to get used to. And Zach tells us it's going to be OK: "It's the same show-true, I'm not gonna be on it and Sarah Chalke's not gonna be on it except four episodes, but it's everybody else with a lot of new funny people... It has a whole new life to it. These young kids are really talented, and people who like the Scrubs humor are really gonna like the show."
Scrubs definitely has a very specific type of humor and as long as these new actors can carry it on, we think it's going to be OK. And at least Donald Faison will still be there to keep us happy. And someone else who might be on it? Zach tells us it's possible James Franco could actually make an appearance. We think he might just be teasing us to get us to watch, but he says, "It's been thrown around. He's got so much stuff going on that he might show up at some point, but who knows-he's got such a crazy schedule."
