Jamie Campbell Bower: Tim Burton Should Direct 'Breaking Dawn'
It could be a very good idea or a very bad idea
We're undecided. But Jamie Campbell Bower thinks that Tim Burton should come on board to direct Breaking Dawn. This definitely gives us something to think about, but we're still waiting for Summit to officially announce the making of Breaking Dawn!
We highly doubt Summit Entertainment will stop making the Twilight movies with Eclipse. We predict New Moon is going to do so amazingly well that they won't be able to make Breaking Dawn fast enough. But we're still waiting for the official announcement on that.
In the meantime, there's been some talk about some potential directors for the movie, since it seems like with each new movies comes a new director. Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Volturi Caius, already knows who he wants to direct the final Twilight movie. He says, "It'd be cool if Burton came and did Breaking Dawn... I think he'd just change it up. I think he'd screw around with it quite a lot, and aesthetically, I think it'd be incredibly different. I don't know if the fans would like it, but I'd sure like it."
We agree he would do some crazy stuff with it. And while we're pretty sure it would be a completely awesome movie, we kind of doubt it would fit along with the other three Twilight movies. And fans would not like that at all! What do you think of the Sleepy Hollow and Beetlejuice director having a hand in Breaking Dawn? We can't wait to see what Tim Burton has done to Alice in Wonderland, but aren't sure we'd like him touching Twilight.
Then again, we've also been hearing some talk that New Moon director Chris Weitz could possibly be back. According to Weitz, "No official offer has been made... "The fans have been enthusiastic about the [New Moon] footage and the trailer, and the studio responds to that by feeling good about me. We'll have to see how people feel about the entire movie, not only the studio but the fans, before the verdict is out whether I direct # 4."
From what we've seen of New Moon so far, we think Chris Weitz deserves another Twilight movie. In the meantime, we'll keep speculating about who else could direct the final movie.
