It was reported that the two had one heck of a hot date on Sept. 1 at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Hollywood, but a source close to the Hard Rock Hotel heir says the two not only aren't an item - they weren't even out together! "Harry was definitely there, but when I talked to him he told me it wasn't he who had gone out with Jen!" the source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. "He said, ‘Man, I wish it had been me!' But nope, it wasn't him."

Additionally, an eyewitness at the hotel tells us that The Switch star's REAL date wasn't as cozy as it seemed! "There weren't any flirty touches or romantic gestures," our spywitness says. "Yes, she was fixing her hair - but not in a nervous way. They seemed like old friends who were getting together and having a good time - it didn't look like the beginnings of a romantic relationship in the slightest. "
