Jennifer Lopez Finalizing 'American Idol' Deal?

We're seriously shocked we don't have any absolutely solid American Idol judge news by now. A couple weeks ago, we did hear that Steven Tyler accepted a judging position, but we haven't heard anything since. Now we're learning Jennifer Lopez could be in the process of finalizing a deal. Could we get a confirmation over here?

We're in the camp that would be thrilled to see Jennifer Lopez sitting at the judges table on American Idol. So, we really do hope this news is true and that JLo will have a deal finalized soon. TMZ is reporting the news and calling it a "done deal." Do you believe it?
We've seen lots of reports that Jennifer Lopez had been displaying lots of diva-ish behavior and making crazy demands. But sources are saying that isn't true at all and that "It's been typical negotiating."
Allegedly, the deal will be inked as early as the beginning of next week as long as nothing goes wrong in the meantime. TMZ says that the show's producers believe that Jennifer Lopez will re-energize the show. We kind of agree! She's got all the fun and just a little bit of the crazy of Paula Abdul.
