Jennifer Lopez's Country Club Gaffe
Desperate to join?
Jennifer Lopez wants to get involved with her community, but they're not particularly open to her "let' go!" attitude at the country club. Is Jen being too pushy about joining, or are her neighbors horrendous snobs? Jennifer Lopez's recent attempts were covered in the press.
Jennifer's new mansion, located in Hidden Hills, California, is located close to a country club (of course!) and she wants to make new friends. It sounds like the country club wasn't too impressed with her, though.

"J. Lo showed up looking like Jackie O," one source said, "and Marc was wearing some ridiculous preppy style outfit - it was like they looked up what people wear to country clubs and then tried to imitate it."
"She did all the talking - Marc barely said anything," the witness added. "It seemed clear that he didn't want to mess up, like it was really important to her."
I will ask one question: when does Jennifer Lopez not dress OTT and inappropriate? If you asked her to go to Aspen, there's no doubt in my mind that she'd be decked out in fur and something metallic. She's ridiculous, country club or not. Plus, country clubs aren't too big on change, so anyone who's not in the circle has trouble getting in.
.
I wonder if Jen's camp or the country club will try to deny this tale. It could be harmful to the club in Sherwood, since no country club wants to be thought of a racist (since so many are/were). Just last year I read about a whopping lawsuit in Miami involving discrimination against African Americans and Jewish families at a country club. It happens.
