'Jersey Shore' Cast Talk Sex, Money On 'The View'
Cast gets real about sex, money and what's in their futures.
The high-controversy Jersey Shore cast made an appearance on the usually high-controversy morning show The View on Tuesday morning. Snooki talked finances and her real nationality, Ronny snuffed out the homophobic comments, and Sammi addressed how she plans to deal with the domestic abuse dynamic between her and on-and-off boyfriend Ronnie. LimeLife has the highlights.
The Jersey Shore cast definitely want to stay on TV. They may go for another two seasons, and then "The Situation" Mike Sorrentino says he hopes to pursue acting. View panelist Sherri Shepherd applauded the Jersey Shore cast for demanding their money from MTV, and the cast revealed that they're storing their paychecks in savings. "I'm not allowed to touch my money," Snooki said. She revealed that her dad is handling all of her finances for her. (Snooki earns a reported $10K to make appearances.)
Snooki also addressed the controversy that she's not Italian, saying that she's just a small part Sicilian and mostly Chilean. When The View's Whoopi Goldberg asked Snooki why she thinks the public is so interested in her, Snooki said, "I guess just look at me." Snooki also added she thinks the public's fascination with her comes from "all the hair."
"The Situation" Mike Sorrento said that despite Snooki getting a lot of fans' attention, the castmates aren't jealous of each other. Ronny Magro had a chance to speak out about his recent homophobic comments, saying, "I love everybody." Magro said his comments came out in the heat of the moment but that he loves all of the show's followers and appreciates the public's support of him.
Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg wanted to know whether Sammi and Ronny are going to cut out their pushing and shoving next season. Sammi said they'll just have to see what happens in their relationship, and Joy Behar urged them to be conscious of the fact that their domesic abuse sets an example for everyone in the country.
And no, JWoWW says she doesn't want bigger boobs. She just wants to swap out her saline implants for silicone.
By the way, James Madison University officially doesn't want Snooki to show up -- go here for the story.
