'Jersey Shore' Cast at Fashion Week?
Unless it's Ed Hardy...
Please stop this ridiculousness! It was bad enough Snooki and The Situation attended the Grammys. But now the cast of Jersey Shore might be at Fashion Week? Is nothing sacred anymore?
I guess fashion week means something different to everyone, but I think it's supposed to be a time for serious fashionistas. So, it kind of bothers me that the cast of Jersey Shore is once again trying to weasel their way in. Of course, their manager (except for Snooki), Michael Schweiger, claims that the designers are approaching them. Wait, really? It must be Ed Hardy. Michael is saying that JWoWW and Sammi Sweetheart Giancola are getting the most offers.
There's some disagreements between the designers about how the cast should dress if they do attend the show. The Editor-in-Chief at Allure magazine says, "They should dress exactly the way they always do and not change a hair or hair gel or tone down the tan... They're perfect as is." For some reason, perfect just doesn't seem like the right word.
However, Paul Wilmot, a rep for Tommy Hilfiger and Oscar de la Renta disagrees and says, "If they're going to a designer's show, the nicest thing they can do is wear the designer's clothes... No wife-beaters, no baggy jeans. Dress up and act like ladies and gentlemen. And invest in a good haircut." I just don't get what designer would want these kids in their clothes.
Fashion Week starts on February 11, so we'll get to see soon enough if the Jersey Shore cast is there. How do you feel about their attendance? And furthermore, how do you think Anna Wintour would feel?
