Jessica Simpson's High 'Price of Beauty'
Jessica Simpson is said to have angered producers of her new TV show – after it emerged she is spending US$25,000 per episode to appear in front of the cameras. The singer-turned-actress will jet to seven countries around the world in VH1 show, The Price of Beauty, as she investigates beauty treatments in different cultures.
But producers were said to be annoyed when they were handed the hair and make-up bill – that means Jess, is 29, more costly than Jennifer Lopez. An insider said: "To get her camera-ready each episode will cost US$25,000. "She insists on using her own hair, make-up and fashion stylists, who are more expensive than J.Lo's." A representative for television network VH1 said: "We never comment on what we spend or don't spend." Simpson's spokeswoman told a US newspaper: "A budget was approved when the deal was made. All parties were satisfied."
