Jillian Michaels Confirms Nose Job
She admits that she had rhinoplasty.
Jillian Michaels admitted that she had a nose job in a recent interview. Are you surprised? I'm not. If you watch her regularly on TV or in her workout videos, for that matter, you'll notice it after a while. Here's Jillian's motive.
I'm not sure if it's healthy to make changes to your body simply because other people poke fun at you about it, but Jillian Michaels is a poster girl for bully-related change. She said that she changed her nose--and her body--because of unfair criticism when she was young.
"In eighth grade, I weighed 175 pounds and my nose was the size of a softball," she told the magazine Healthy Style.
"Once, I was sitting at lunch and got surrounded by a bunch of kids who let me have it about how ugly I was -- my unibrow, the size of my nose, the fat rolling over my jeans. It was pure hell. My mom had to pull me out and put me in another school."
Later, Jillian decided to get a nose job, saying that "Plastic surgery is a very personal decision."
"I had a very strained relationship with my father, especially when my parents got divorced. I still try to go to therapy at least twice a week," she added. "It has given me the confidence to pursue the things I love, and it's important that I don't end up playing out my own pain and insecurities with the people I'm trying to help."
Jillian's new goals have nothing to do with dieting or her body, but with having children. She wants to "have at least two kids," but she admitted that she's not quite ready. She needs to find the right guy first!
