John Krasinski to Star in 'Something Borrowed'
From chick lit to chick flick
If you're a lover of chick lit, chances are you've read (or at least heard of) Emily Giffin's Something Borrowed. And the subsequent Something Blue. The movie adaptations are coming and word is John Krasinski is grabbing a big role in them.
We always love a good chick flick, but one starring nice (and cute!) guy John Krasinski? Even better. The movie is already said to be starring Big Love's Ginnifer Goodwin as the leading lady, Rachel. And John would be playing Ethan, Rachel's good friend who listens to her conflicts and helps her with big decisions.
The books' author Emily Giffin updated her Twitter page to say, "Not official-official yet.... but... fingers crossed. Hope you all love John Krasinski as Ethan! I know I do!" Oh yes, we do too! If he really is cast, John will be in both movies. He definitely has a role in Something Borrowed, but would have a much bigger role in Something Blue.
We love that John Krasinski is always cast in the nice, helpful friend role. Can you even imagine him in an evil, cheating boyfriend role? John will have some wedding experience by the time the movies are made, which could possibly help him in the role, too. We can't wait for Emily Giffin's books to be made into movies!
