John Mayer: Tiger Woods' Problem is Being Married

I guess he's right

John Mayer doesn't think Tiger Woods really did anything wrong at all. Except for one minor detail. Tiger happens to be married. John Mayer also compares himself to Tiger and basically says they send the same dirty text messages. But we only hear about the ones Tiger sends because he's got a wife.

Does John Mayer think he's made some totally brilliant revelation or something? I'm not quite sure, but it seems kind of obvious a single man's dirty text messages don't stir up quite as much drama as a married man. Though I think it would still create a bit of news if John Mayer's dirty texts all the sudden surfaced.

According to John, "Tiger Woods' problems come from him being married. The end... It has nothing to do with control... If Tiger Woods was a single guy, what sort of angle would there be to a text message? If Tiger Woods was single, and he texted a girl and said 'I wanna wear your ass like a hat', why would that ever hit the news?" Um, but he wasn't single. And he put forth a totally different image from the person he actually is.

John Mayer admits that he sends lots of dirty text messages, but we just don't see them because there's no story. He says, "I write a lot of dirty text messages to girls, and you've never seen any of them. Why? Because if a girl brought a dirty text message from me to the newspapers, they'd say 'I don't have an angle here. Someone wants to wear your ass like a hat? Big deal. He's 32 years old. He's a single guy. If John Mayer has a wife and sends dirty texts, then we got a story."

I actually think a lot of people would want to see dirty text messages from John Mayer! Even though he's not married and he's allowed to do whatever he wants, it's still interesting to see what he's doing in his private life. No, maybe the New York Times woudn't pick up on the story, but plenty of blogs would!

But it seems that John actually wants people to use Tiger to see that John Mayer really isn't that bad. He says, "With this whole Tiger Woods situation...I wish more people would be like, 'You know what, Mayer? You didn't f*** up at all." I guess he has a point there! It would take a whole lot for John Mayer to f*** up half as bad as Tiger Woods did!

But gosh, John Mayer thinks he could have solved lots of Tiger Woods' problems!
