Johnny Depp Surprises Fans At Comic-Con 2009
Johnny Depp caused a stir in San Diego when he popped up without warning at Comic-Con. Tim Burton, director of Alice in Wonderland, was on stage at the city's convention centre when he said he wanted an imaginary friend to join him on stage.
To the delight of fans, Depp stepped on to the stage, waving to a screaming crowd. He stayed briefly - just long enough to send fans into a tizz. Twitter was soon flooded with tweets. One of them said: "Tears wiped over Johnny Depp. Decibel level to 11. This is CRAZY fandom." Another tweet said: "Women are chanting 'I love you Johnny!' Men are chanting 'I love you Johnny!'"
