Nancy Grace to Jon Gosselin: "Why is it always about you?"

Jon Gosselin's attempt to speak out on Monday's edition of The Insider wound up in more public humiliation.

Jon Gosselin sat on a panel with his lawyer Mark Heller, CNN host Nancy Grace, Deborah Norville and two other Insider personalities. Nancy Grace made no bones about ripping into Jon Gosselin, insisting how desperately he and estranged wife Kate Gosselin need to seek therapy and that Jon needs to stop being such a whining and passive player in the Gosselin divorce.

Nancy asked Jon why suddenly after he's been demoted on Kate Plus 8 he started throwing these legal temper tantrums, demanding that the show stop taping the Gosselin children. Jon responded, "Regardless of the timing, I'm their father, and I will do what's best for my children."

Nancy Grace referred to Jon and Kate as a "self-absorbed husband and wife" and suggested they "quit fighting and work on your marriage."

Jon assured her, "I would love to go to mediation. I would love to be Mom and Dad - we're not gonna be husband and wife."

Deborah Norville asked whether the panelists thought the children will need therapy. "Jon and Kate need to go into therapy," Nancy Grace said, "and learn to quit arguing."

When Nancy Grace pointed out that the Gosselin children are the main concern and asks Jon why he always makes himself the victim and the center of the divorce saga, Jon all but pleaded for mercy. "The hardest thing I ever did was tell them we were getting a divorce."

You can check out the clip of the debate below, then read our story on the latest in the fight over the Gosselin family joint bank account, out of which Jon is said to have taken $230,000 over the weekend.
