Jon Gosselin Returned $180K, Says Lawyer
Jon Gosselin is in "complete compliance" with court orders.
Jon Gosselin's lawyer says Jon may come out ahead of Kate in the financial feud that's been ongoing for weeks. Reportedly Jon has returned the $180,000 that he took from a joint bank account, thereby honoring a Pennsylvania court arbitration that was filed against Jon last week.
Jon Gosselin was given until October 26 to provide the court with the outstanding money from the account, and Kate was ordered to provide the court with a detailed list of how she spent $55,000 that she withdrew from the account over the summer and referred to as "household expenses."
So far Kate has not lived up to her end of the deal, and Jon Gosselin's lawyer says the court may come down hard on her. "Unless something happens today, she will be going through contempt proceedings Monday," Jon's lawyer Mark Heller said Friday, indicating that Kate still has only until Monday to turn in the itemized list.
.
Meanwhile Jon has been relieved of any threat of contempt charges, according to Heller.
