Jon Gosselin Scripted Hailey Glassman's Abuse Claims
Jon Gosselin confidante says he is that desperate for publicity.
Imagine encouraging your significant other to tell the public you're a compulsive liar and emotionally abusive partner. That's what a Gosselin family insider has stepped forward to reveal Jon did for Hailey Glassman's emotional interview on CBS's The Insider last week.
Glassman's interview last week has prompted a firestorm of Gosselin media coverage, including Jon Gosselin's statement last week apologizing to Hailey and his "public apology" at a synagogue in New York City Sunday night, where he revealed that he and Hailey are taking "some time" to lead their lives individually. Glassman's speaking-out also came before Kate Gosselin's emotional interview with Natalie Morales on TLC Monday night, where Kate finally revealed that she misses Jon.
Now a source being called "a close confidante of Jon Gosselin" says Glassman's interview was fake. "Jon actually made the decision to have Hailey go on air and bad mouth him. Jon and Hailey get paid for their appearances on these shows and they need the money. It was easy for Hailey to conjure tears, their lives are less than stellar right now, but Jon hasn't abused [her]."
It actually kind of makes sense, as the source continued, "Jon doesn't have much money left and he is not currently searching for a real job. Jon still seeks money through his fame and notoriety. He really wants a reality show of his own, and he is stretching out every moment of the drama for a dollar ... His whole team heard of the project and was involved in brokering the possible deal ... His managers, lawyers and publicists need to get something rolling for him or he won't be able to pay them. Jon doesn't have a big bank account loaded with money. He has to do something and this would have been funny, plus Hailey had no problem going along with the fake dates and pretending to be upset. She is along for the ride and enjoys being on TV."
The insider also claims that Jon actually was considering a reality dating show with Octomom Nadya Suleman, despite his denials last week. It's said he may have gotten close to a million dollars for the gig that would have seen him go on fake dates with the mother of 14.
