Jon Gosselin To Countersue TLC For $5 Million

Jon Gosselin's attempts at cash will end horribly again.

Oh yeah, TLC? Take that! A new report has dropped the bombshell that Jon Gosselin is coming back at TLC for their lawsuit against him by countersuing for a cool $5 million.

There's a lot of legal jargon involved, but here's what's going on in English: Jon is likely to counterclaim that he didn't have ample legal representation when he signed the TLC contract and that they're costing him job opportunities by being too restrictive with the Jon & Kate Plus 8 contract.

All this according to Jon Gosselin's lawyer Mark Heller, who is licensed to practice in New York state. So who will represent Jon in the December 14 case in Maryland when TLC sticks it to him? It's not clear yet, which leads us to the presumption that Jon Gosselin is in over his head with this counterclaim.

And to make it clear, here's why TLC's after Jon Gosselin in the first place: they're claiming damages because Jon's "unauthorized" business deals and interviews have created a competitor to Jon & Kate Plus 8. In other words, TLC's losing money every week they're not filming the Gosselins. If Jon Gosselin were smart he'd sit Kate down, say sorry, and let the cameras fire back up...or maybe reporters will be present in the courtroom. Action!
