Jonas Brothers To Release New Single - Will Anyone Care?
Do The Jonas Brothers Still Have a Following?
Last week, Kevin Jonas (the oldest one) confirmed that he and his two bandmate brothers have finished working on their fifth studio record -- oh, and that we'll be treated to the first single off the as yet un-named album this spring.
'We wanted to take a little extra time on it to make sure it was right, and we've been working for almost a year now on it and it's time and now we're back on the road,'' Kevin said.
And back on the road they will be. At the end of March, the Jonas Brothers will be performing in Latin and South America with their brother-in-law, singer Mikey Deleasa, working as their opening act.
By that time, the new single off the album will be on air in the U.S. Called "Pom Poms," the song is already in the can and the band has shot the accompanying video, too. According to a report on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest," the brothers recruited two New Orleans based chearleading squads to help out. Should be a sight to behold.
Former heartthrob Nick Jonas, who's been spending a lot of time acting on stage in recent years, says that this forthcoming album will be somewhat of a departure for the Brothers.
'The vibe right now that we're trying to create, we've kind of had a really memorable and a career we're really thankful for up until this time, [and now we're] hoping to create an experience for our fans that is really personal and shows a little bit deeper look into what our lives have been like, as far as lyrics. But, musically we're trying to push ourselves and continue to grow and get better," he says.

''We're talking about some really real subjects and things that are meaningful to us both in the present time, in the past, and it's just now out there for people to hear.''
Super, but, will fans still care enough to listen to it? Have they moved on to other artists or outgrown the Jonas Brothers? Guess we'll find out next month.
