Jonh Mayer's New Song, Who Says, is Released
Song of the Day
We're going to speak for everyone here when we say, we've all been waiting forever for John Mayer to come out with a new album. It feels like it's been a ridiculously long time since his last and now we're assured the time is almost here. His new single was just released!
And yup, we love it! "Who Says" is sure to be a hit as it's totally catchy in a sweet, slow way. We've already listened to it a bunch of times and are just so thrilled to hear John Mayer's voice again.
The only concern we have is that the song isn't exactly radio-radio. The repeating phrase of "who says I can't get stoned," might turn some radio stations away. And we can't really blame them; there are so many words you can't say on radio, we just don't think a song about getting stoned is going to be accepted onto some radio stations that love John Mayer.
It's too bad too because it's such an awesome song and isn't really about going out and getting wasted or anything and we actually love the lyrics: "Who says I can't be free from all the things that I used to be/Rewrite my history/ Who says I can't be free?/It's been a long night in New York City/It's been a long night in Baton Rouge/I don't remember you looking any better/ But then again I don't remember you/Who says I can't get stoned?"
In any event, we'll continue listening to John Mayer's "Who Says" and can't wait to hear more from him.
