Jordin Sparks Intimidated Opening for Britney Spears

Singer Jordin Sparks says she felt intimidated when she opened for Britney Spears on her tour. The former American Idol winner spoke about Britney's fans' reactions to her: "I could hear.

.. that they were excited and that I wasn't so out of place." Sparks, 19, has been keeping herself busy this summer as she previously opened for the Jonas Brothers before joining Britney, 27, on the North American leg of her Circus tour. She said: "It was a little intimidating, just because it's such a different crowd than the Jonas crowd. And you go to a Britney concert and it's all of her fans and they have grown up... but if they scream, they're screaming 'cause they want to. "They don't scream at just anything, so when I took that stage and I could hear a little bit through that they were excited and that I wasn't so out of place, it was awesome." Joining Miss Spears' tour at the last minute, the singer-songwriter had little time to rehearse. The No Air star said: "The night before the Britney tour, we went into this... little warehouse, drew a big circle of chalk and just tried to put some stuff together - and once we got on that stage, it just sort of fell together. "We still have some stuff to work on ... we walked off the stage like: 'We hope people liked it.'" Jordan hasn't met Britney yet or seen her set but is hoping to at some point during the tour.
