Justin Bieber Grounded After Buying Expensive Car?
Justin Bieber's Mom Grounds Him for Overspending
Kids get grounded all the time, but when you're a celeb money-maker like Justin Bieber, the idea of such a juvenile punishment can seem a bit absurd.
Still, Bieber is 17, and teenagers get into trouble -- whether it's talking back or missing curfew -- or in Bieber's case, spending a little too much money on a new car.
Bieber's mom reportedly grounded the Biebs after he bought a $160,000 Range Rover.
Mom wasn't too happy, especially since he already has a custom Cadillac Batmobile and a Ferrari.
The National Enquirer reports that Bieber's mom, Pattie Mallette, grounded him for the extravagant purchase, with a source noting, "Pattie blew a gasket when she learned about Justin's wild spending spree. As a result, she is forbidding him from driving until he turns 18, unless he's accompanied by an adult chaperon."
The source added that Bieber's mom "is trying to get Justin's wild spending under control."
Good luck with that.
It's unclear if there's any truth to the whole grounding rumor, but I'd be willing to bet if he is grounded, it won't last long. How do you keep a million dollar kid like Bieber down?
Meanwhile, the Bieber paternity case has pretty well fizzled out, though Bieber did take a DNA test and Mariah Yeater's lawyers want him to take another test.
Yeater's ex-boyfriend thinks Bieber is the baby daddy too, though text messages from Yeater were published last week that pointed to the ex as the kid's father.
