Kara DioGuardi Wants a New Reality Show
Kara wants to "drop" a new show
We're all still wondering what Paula Abdul is going to do next, while her former co-worker Kara DioGuardi is shopping a new reality television show. Yes, Kara will still be a judge on American Idol, but she's looking into other opportunities as well.
We'll feel kind of sad for Paula Abdul if Kara DioGuardi gets a new reality show before Paula Abdul finds some sort of semi-permanent position. But the idea of the new show Kara is shopping around does sound kind of interesting. Maybe she'd ask Paula to be her co-host?
When we first heard the idea, we were skeptical. She wants to do a show called "Dropped," which will give artists who have been dropped from their labels a second chance. At first, we thought, "Well, if they're dropped, they're probably bad, right?" But then Kara said this, "You look at Katy Perry, the Jonas Brothers, Alicia Keys, and Lady Gaga, they all have one thing in common: They've all been dropped from their labels... I was dropped. Think about how many times in your life you haven't achieved one goal, but you've achieved another one."
Wow! We had no idea all those artists were dropped from their labels at one point. And Kara Dioguardi is totally right about many people not achieving a goal the first time they try.
We are definitely interested in checking out this show, but hope it's not too much like an American Idol Second Chance. We wonder if a network will pick it up!
