Karl Lagerfeld Hits The Road

The tag line reads: "It's yellow, it's ugly, it doesn't go with anything, but it could save your life." But we're still confused why Karl is on the poster.

Karl is modeling something, but it's definitely NOT Chanel.

There are many things we associate with Karl Lagerfeld, the mastermind designer behind Chanel. Dark sunglasses, fingerless gloves, and Pepsi Max (we've heard he consumes them all day every day), just to name a few. But road safety? Not on the list. Well, not yet at least.

This summer, the entire country of France will have The Kaiser himself, pictured in his signature tuxedo, as the new spokesman for public road safety. His message? Drivers should always be equipped with security vests and traffic triangles in case of emergency. Yes, but Karl, have you ever actually driven?
