Kate Gosselin Gets a Talk Show, Hangs with Kathy Griffin
Kate Gosselin: I had to do it
If you read our story last week on surprising female celebrity duos, what you read about Kate Gosselin and Paula Deen was true: Kate Gosselin is getting her own talk show.
After the Jon and Kate Plus 8 star appeared on The View last week, she actually earned some steet cred as an engaging, intelligent host. Already she's been filming with Paula Deen and other prominent moms, and the show will target a mom audience in a panel format inspired by The View.
What made her take on the opportunity? Her chatterbox. "I've been given the gift of gab," Gosselin said, "so why not use it?...It is sort of like a career move, so I had to do it."
Meanwhile another Kate who grates on the public's nerves wants to cash in. Kathy Griffin and Kate Gosselin crossed paths on The View last week, and Kathy Griffin told Kate Gosselin she wanted no hard feelings for her spoof portraying Kate as the witchy mom of eight. Kate told Kathy she was "awesome," and that she seriously cracked up watching the spoof. See, even Hollywood's -- er, Pennsylvania's -- most controversial women need girlfriend love too.
