Kate Middleton Hires Lady Gaga's Hat Designer for Royal Wedding
Telephone hats?
Lady Gaga is known for many things. But besides her music, it's mostly for her crazy costumes. And even more specifically? Her hats. Now, we're learning that Kate Middleton has hired Lady Gaga's hat designer to design the hats for the Royal Wedding! This could get interesting.

I'm pretty sure this Royal Wedding is going to be like no Royal Wedding ever seen before. It's likely going to be modern, fun, and totally stylish (though the wedding invites were no indication of that. Blech). The UK's Daily Mail is reporting that Kate Middleton has just hired Lady Gaga's hat designer, Philip Treacy, to design the headwear for the senior members of the wedding party.
You know Philip Treacy for his crazy Lady Gaga hat creations. You know, like the telephone hat. And the lobster hat. And many, many more. But he also makes some gorgeous creations that are a whole lot more "down to Earth." And Treacy actually designed the Duchess of Cornwall's hat for her wedding in 2006.
.
According to a source, "Philip has taken numerous phone calls from the Duchess of Cornwall since December and he was summoned to the Palace to meet Kate." It sounds like he and Kate got along and the source continues, "Kate and Philip discussed designs and which senior ladies of the wedding party would wear what, including her mother."

And Kate Middleton might even don a Philip Treacy creation as well. Allegedly, "Kate is keen on wearing something fabulous in the evening as well... There are going to be some flamboyant creations."
Could this Royal Wedding be any more exciting? Not only are we totally psyched to see what designer Kate will choose for her wedding dress, but now we can't wait to see her headwear as well. From Lady Gag to Kate Middleton? Philip Treacy is one talented guy!
