Kate Winslet Loves Vivienne Westwood
She's crazy, but we love her.
We're sort of obsessed with Vivienne Westwood. The other day while flipping through a magazine, Ms. Westwood caught our eye in all her punked out, Victorian glory. Magnificent.
So who exactly is Viv? She's pretty much the go-to-gal if you want to dress like a rock star (or if you are, in fact, a rock star). In 1971, Westwood, along with her business partner Malcolm McLaren (manager for the Sex Pistols), opened their Let It Rock boutique in London. Soon her zippered pants and skintight leather were on all the cool kids. And 30 years later, she's still going strong.
In fact, there's so much interest in the Westwood aesthetic that Kate Winslet has just been cast to play her in a biopic.
Audrey Tatou better watch out. The French actress is set to portray Coco Chanel in the upcoming film, Coco Avant Chanel, but we'd so much rather watch Kate channel Viv and her crazy antics.
