Kate Winslet Surprises Students At Her Old Stage School
Actress Kate Winslet reportedly shocked pupils at her old stage school by appearing at one of their rehearsal sessions. Kate, 33, returned to the Blessed Hugh Faringdon School in Reading and held a question and answer session with the acting wannabes as well as taking part in a drama workshop for the Starmaker drama group students.
Kate was also born in the city and she told pupils before the Q&A session started: "Don't be shy, because I am very normal. Some of the people in this room can absolutely vouch for that. Ask me questions, anything you like." Kate is also a patron of the amateur dramatic group and she said: "One of the best things about Starmaker is that everybody looks after each other, they really, really do, and there's nothing more exciting than your first opportunity of getting backstage in the theatre." She also gave tips to the students about first-night nerves, she said: "The great thing is when the lights come on you, you as the performers on the stage, you're so blinded by the lights, you can't see the audience, so it's fantastic. You don't have to be all nervous at all."
