Katherine Heigl Hasn't Returned to Grey's Anatomy

We might be saying bye to Izzie sooner than we thought

Remember how Katherine Heigl was supposed to return to Grey's Anatomy after her 3-month maternity leave? Well, it looks like that just didn't happen. So, what's going on?

Word was that Katherine Heigl was going to return to the set for more Grey's Anatomy filming on March 1. But that day came and went and according to a source to People, "she was not there." Even though we were convinced, Heigl would only be back for a short while before quitting for good, we did think she was at least coming back for a little bit.

Speculation is that Katherine didn't come back because she just wants to focus on her film career. Which is fine, but you'd think she'd want to return as Izzie to tie up some lose story ends. ABC isn't commenting, but Entertainment Weekly is saying Grey's Anatomy producer, Shonda Rhimes, has released Heigl from her contract. We knew Katherine wouldn't dye her hair so dark if she really was coming back as Izzie.

We hope Katherine Heigl at least called to let production know she wasn't coming back. We love her acting skills, but Katherine's going to lose a lot of fans if she keeps acting so entitled.
