Katy Perry swears off cooking shows
Katy Perry won't be appearing on the smash hit show in Australia, MasterChef. "I can't even boil water, it would be hilarious if I went on that show but I'd probably end up burning the studio down," said the singer in Sydney.
Perry must have heard of the show's ratings power. The US singer kicks of her Australian tour next week with a series of Hello Katy concerts. Like Pink, who is on a mammoth tour Down Under, Perry is an American pop icon Australians have adopted as one of their own. She also appeared to be trying to heal her recent spat with a local designer of the same name by splashing some cash on Wheels and Doll Baby's vintage gear. Other celebs to frequent the designer include Dita Von Teese, Pink, Sadie Frost and Kelly Osbourne. "This top is one of theirs. I wore one of their dresses to the last MTV awards," she said of the designer. Perry has gigs scheduled at Sydney's Enmore Theatre. The venue is Australia's oldest and has hosted the likes of the Rolling Stones.
