Kelly Clarkson Makes Good Music, Not a Good Mother
Not on board with baby.
Kelly Clarkson pops out her new album, All I Ever Wanted, today, but according to her that's about the only think she'll be popping out. Kelly opened up about motherhood and said, quite frankly, that she didn't think she'd make a very good mother.
Though she loves the short ones, Kelly said right now she's just too career-focused to be good to any little Kellies. And she doesn't see that changing any time soon:
“Oh, my God, I have no desire. I would not be a good mother. I mean, I love being an aunt to my niece and nephew. And I used to want to, like, adopt 10 kids — because I had friends who were adopted, and I thought that was the coolest thing, to be chosen. But again, my job is too selfish.”
Kelly also was speaking freely - and frankly (gotta love that about her) - about marriage. She said she wasn't against the idea of the "I Do," but would only take that long walk down the aisle with the right dude - a dude who could handle being hubby to superstar Kelly.
“I’m not against it. If I found a guy who could handle my job, that would be cool,” Kelly said, adding that the demands of her job - touring and traveling - makes having a relationship a real challenge.
And her job? Well, that's not something she's willing to give up. “I love working; I can’t see myself not doing this.”
We're glad to hear that, Kell. We wouldn't want to see you disappear either. But we think there might be someone out there who makes you want to say - at the top of your lungs - "My Life Would Suck Without You."
