Kelsey Grammer Shares Hip Tattoo, Talks Emmy Snub

Kelsey Grammer had no problem pulling down his pants on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Not like that ... he was showing off a tattoo he got for his wife, Kayte Walsh.

Grammer explained he got the ink "on a whim," though Walsh had some input.

He shared with Leno that Walsh asked him, "Would you ever consider getting yourself tattooed with my name?"

Good husband that he is, he got her name tattooed on his hip, but had to pull his pants down just a little bit to show off the tat on the late night show.

Grammer noted, "I'm actually quite proud of it. It's strategically placed for viewing!"

Leno also asked about Grammer's Emmy snub, as he was shut out for his role on Boss.

Grammer seemed to think it was political, saying, "It's hard to figure ... I don't know Jay, it's a question that will remain one for the ages. It may have to do with ... I think it's possible ... I'm a declared, out-of-the-closet Republican in Hollywood."

I'm not so sure about that, but his second line of reasoning seems more likely -- Boss airs on Starz, which he explained, is "not an obscure network, but people have to search to find it."
