Kombucha Tea, Your Beauty Savior?
From Our Friends at The Frisky
Kombucha tea is joining forces with the likes of coconut water and green juice as your new beauty beverage. But does it really work? While some people love it, others think it's yucky, and would never drink it if it weren't for the proported bennies.
The Mayo Clinic says that Kombucha is not a mushroom, but a cloudy bacteria and yeast combination with vitamin B, plus vinegar and "chemical compounds." Oh yum. Not only that, but the flavor is a cross between vinegar and apples, or apple cider vinegar, The Frisky reports.
Will you see benefits? We'll leave that up for you to judge, but be prepared to shell out some dough for the privilege, as well as handle the flavor of your beauty bev. Kombucha's benefits have been reported to include revving up your immune systems, preventing cancer, and aiding digestion.
