Kristen Stewart: Fame Is "Sad, Desolate"
Level-headed Kristen Stewart proves she's not like other stars.
We're finally seeing the New Moon cocoon open for publicity leading up to the film's November 20 release. Kristen Stewart has been quiet until now, as she's given an interview to the UK's Fabulous Magazine revealing the truth about her fame. Her take? "I don't want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie."
"Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable," Stewart continues. "I'm an actor. It's bizarre to me that everybody's so obsessive."
She's echoing the sentiment Robert Pattinson revealed in December's Vanity Fair, where he says that he's never been cut out for the worldwide explosion that a franchise like Twilight can create. Kristen Stewart suggests that both she and Robert have found relatability in the Twilight characters' conflicts. "Edward is actually a really good parallel to fame," Stewart says. "As a vampire, he has a sad, desolate life -- fame is the same."

Indeed it's rough when you're Robert Pattinson and can't even pop into a Hollywood Rite-Aid without a mob...meanwhile Kristen's not getting a break, as she and Taylor Lautner were in Brazil over the weekend promoting New Moon in Sao Paulo. Check out the great pics of them!
