Kristen Stewart Rude at 'Remember Me' Premiere?

Robert Pattinson's new film Remember Me premiered in New York City last night at the Paris Theater on 58th Street and Fifth Avenue (across the street from the Plaza Hotel). Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart turned out as an official couple with K-Stew walking the red carpet for Rob, but LimeLife friends who were on the scene said that not all was perfect in romance land.

Robert Pattinson's parents Clare and Richard flew in from London to attend the Remember Me premiere, proudly supporting their 23-year-old son. Rob walked the red carpet in a sharp blue suit and casual shirt, and when his girlfriend (it's finally official) Kristen Stewart showed up dressed in lace Burberry pants, a cropped leather jacket and heels. Kristen graced the carpet for cameras (reporters had been told she wouldn't be there), and one source tells us she was rude. An insider at a national lifestyle magazine who knows both Rob and Kristen has jumped to Kristen's defense, saying that a lot of females are scared of her tough exterior, and our friends at HollywoodLife.com (playfully) speculate that Kristen Stewart was there to protect Rob from the Emilie De Ravin romance rumors (dear readers, she's married!).

Here's how the red carpet blocking went with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart: around 6 p.m. it was reported that Rob was "en route" to the Paris Theater from his Jimmy Fallon taping, and red carpet fans went crazy when he arrived. Kristen was announced to have shown up to support him, but she dodged interviews by running into the theater behind Rob. It's said that Rob stuck around graciously to chat with as many reporters as possible. Reporters who were front-and-center are describing Rob as "awesome" and "nice."

After the screening Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Emilie De Ravin and the rest of the Remember Me inner circle bolted across the street to the legendary Plaza Hotel for an afterparty.
