Lady Gaga Calls Greyson Chance on Ellen
He's a bonafide tween star.
Greyson Chance's rendition of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" is an internet hit, and things are starting to look up for the 12 year-old piano prodigy. The youngster even got a phone call from the pop princess herself when he visited the Ellen Degeneres show.
Chance was on Ellen's talk show yesterday to talk about how his little YouTube video had skyrocketed to fame last week, when Lady Gaga called in to the show to say how happy she is that Chance is getting well-deserved attention.
"I was so excited that you covered Paparazzi," Gaga said. "You're so sweet and so talented, and everyone loves you so much."
Chance's video has well over ten million hits on YouTube just weeks after the 6th grader performed the song at his school's talent show in Oklahoma City. Since then the kid has been the talk of the town.
"I've gotten a couple of numbers and made some new friends," he smiled as he told Ellen of his rising popularity.
As for Gaga, the famed singer had some important words of advice to impart.
"Keep following your dreams and work really hard and stay away from girls and be focused!"
