Lea Michele Appreciates Her "Jewish Nose"
She's open about her looks.
Lea Michele used to be such a cute girl, until she lost all that weight this year. She might be talking about her "Jewish nose," but I think most of us are looking at her spindly limbs... although having any diversity in Hollywood is great.
Lea Michele says that being the star of Glee surprised her, even though she was brought up to be comfortable with her looks.

"I never really thought there would be a place on television for me," she said previously to the Daily News. "I have a very specific look. I'm Jewish. I'm Italian."
Like a lot of us with full-of-character profiles, Lea looked to Barbra Streisand for inspiration.
"I remember looking up to Barbara Streisand, and thinking, 'Finally, someone who has a Jewish nose, who didn't get a nose job,'" she said. "If that is inspiring and can give young girls a sense of confidence, that's great."
Lea's Italian mom and Jewish dad raised her right.
"I come from a big Italian family and the pressure is not really anything I've been raised to feel," Michele said. "I've always been proud of my body, my Jewish nose and all of that. Hollywood's Hollywood, but that's not going to change."

For the record, there are more Jewish and half-Jewish stars in Hollywood than Lea might think, both on the screen and behind the scenes. Bar Refaeli, Michelle Trachtenberg, Natalie Portman, Rachel Bilson, Nikki Reed, Amanda Bynes, Mila Kunis, and Rachel Weisz are just a start, and there are more, too.
