Lea Michele's Another Two-Tone Adopter

Wouldn't you like to have a genius hairstylist working over your 'do before you step out on the red carpet? I would! Lea Michele's Emmys hair shocked us, until we realized that her two-tone look was a "one night only" deal. That's probably for the best...

There's no denying that the grown-out highlights look is hot (see Drew Barrymore), but we think that Lea's best with a solid color.

PopEater points out that the additional caramel-colored 'lights are faux because "When actresses are filming a movie or a television series, they are not allowed to change their hair length or color, so their hairstylists have to get creative."

So Lea's look was accomplished courtesy of clip-in extensions! Mark Townsend told Stylelist that he did the look as a farewell to summer of sorts.

"It gave her a very summer feeling," he said. "The Emmys happen at end of summer when everyone is tan and their hair is lighter. Lea's hair is naturally very dark brown, so we went really light with a golden copper hue for the highlights."
