Will She Let the Show Poke Fun at Her?

This could be a disaster, or one of the greatest comeback bids ever: perpetually troubled-plagued Lindsay Lohan will host the March 3 episode of Saturday Night Live.

Will the show be rife with Lohan-centered humor? Will she play along willingly, and make it clear she realizes her behavior as of late -- as in the last several years -- has been spoof-worthy? Or will the writers be forced to ignore the wealth of comedic possibilities her life inspires?

SNL revealed the hosting gig with an on-air promo during Saturday's show, while Lohan also tweeted the news.

"SNL! I love @NBC !!!!!!!!!!!!!" she wrote, later sending a tweet to Alec Baldwin to ask him to make a cameo appearance during the show.

And via the show's official Twitter: "That's right: March 3rd, @lindsaylohan with musical guest Jack White!! See you then! #SNL #March3rd."

La Lohan will be making her fourth appearance as SNL host. She previously hosted in 2004 (with musical guest Usher), 2005 (with Coldplay) and 2006 (with Pearl Jam).
