Macaulay Culkin's Dad Speaks Out About Drug Addiction Rumors

It's pretty well known that actor Macaulay Culkin cut ties with his dad, but when a report surfaced that his son is a heroin addict, the elder Culkin weighed in.

It all started with photos of Culkin looking very thin and unhealthy, as The Enquirer was first to report that the actor has a drug habit.

The tabloid quoted friends of Culkin who had first-hand knowledge of his drug addiction, but his rep was quick to shoot down the rumors, releasing a statement that said the report was "impossibly and ridiculously fictitious."

Culkin's estranged father, Kit, tells The Sun, "I hope that he has the right people looking after him."

Culkin and his dad Kit haven't seen each other since 1997, when Macaulay fired his dad as his manager. You may or may not recall that the falling out occurred after Culkin's parents fought over control of the actor's massive child star earnings.

Culkin's stepmother, Jeanette Krylowski, added, "Oh, gosh. Kit has seen the photo. But he can't talk about it. He just can't, because it hurts him too much. Of course he's worried, he's incredibly concerned."

Based on the way Mac looked in the photos, Culkin's stepmother said she thought, "'Oh no, this is not good. Either he's dying of some disease or he's heavily into drugs.'"
