Mandy Moore Is Engaged

In news that no one really cares about, Mandy Moore has just announced that she's engaged to Ryan Adams. Ryan is formerly of the alt-country band Whiskeytown. He's also incredibly gorgeous. Gawd, I'm so jealous. First Andy Roddick, now this incredible specimen of a man. That girl is so lucky.

Mandy, who is 24, and Ryan, who is 34, were spotted grocery shopping together and the Candy singer had a suspicious looking ring on her engagement finger. Later that day, her reps confirmed the news. She is betrothed.

“She is so excited about their engagement but admits it’s been a whirlwind. She’s really happy,” a source tells Life & Style.

By really happy, do they mean high on drugs? Why on earth would she willingly commit the rest of her life to this guy?

On a more uplifting note, Mandy is stepping away from her clothing line, Mblem, so that she can focus on her music career. Hooray!
