Mark Wahlberg Prepares For New Daughter
Mark Wahlberg and Rhea Durham excited for second daughter and four child.
"I'm having another girl," Mark Wahlberg revealed at a New York City event Wednesday night. "So I'll have two girls and two boys."
Mark Wahlberg, 38 and Rhea Durham, 31, married this past August and announced one month later that they were expecting their fourth child. Together they already have adorable Ella Rae, 6, Michael, 3-1/2 and baby Brendan, 13 months. With another daughter on the way, Wahlberg says that while it's up to his wife to decide how many more babies she wants: "My wife is allowed to pick the magic number … as many as she wants to have," he's quoted saying.
However, Wahlberg shared that he feels four may be enough. Having grown up as the youngest of nine siblings, Wahlberg said he feels that "... we didn't get the kind of attention I think that we all needed. My parents had to provide to put food on the table." How does he plan to do it differently? He says, "My mission in life is to raise my kids right. With all the success I've had in the world, if I fail at that, my life means nothing."
We'll see about this vow to keep offspringing to a minimum. Wahlberg was once quoted saying that when he first met former model Durham in 2001, "It was sex at first sight." Plus, Durham loves being a mom. She said in a recent interview, ""I love the traditions of family and home. Babies, kids, holidays—that's what I'm good at."
