Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Get Fashion Honor

People have incredibly mixed feelings about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, especially when it comes to fashion. But we've always thought they were very fashion-forward, even when their style did seem a bit odd. And now they're being honored for their good fashion sense.
So, maybe you think their fashion sense is a bit odd, but that doesn't mean it's not totally hip and innovative. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were just inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America. And that's a really huge honor in the fashion world.
In fact, the president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America is Diane von Furstenberg; and the girls were chosen by von Furstenberg herself. Other designers she chose for the council include Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, and Maria Pinto.
The Olsens were chosen for the CFDA for their fashion lines The Row and Elizabeth and James. They will be honored with the other newly inducted designers at a dinner in NYC in October.
