Matt Damon and Clint Eastwood Team up Again
A dynamic duo.
Matt Damon and Clint Eastwood have decided to stick with what works. The two worked together on the upcoming film, Invictus, which will hit theaters later this year, and are set to team up again for the supernatural thriller Hereafter.
Not much is known about the story of Hereafter, but it is said to be in a similar vein as M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense. The screenplay was written by Frost/Nixon scribe Peter Morgan.
Later this year, Invictus, the story of Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman), rugby player Francois Pienaar (Damon) and the 1995 World Rugby Cup, will hit theaters. Directed by Eastwood, the film follows Mandela's efforts to bring post-apartheid South Africa together.
Matt Damon also made headlines recently when he signed on to star in a new biopic about the life of Liberace, directed by Steven Soderbergh. Damon will play Liberace's long-time friend and lover, and Michael Douglas will play Liberace himself.
Damon can currently be seen in Informant!, where he plays Mark Whitacre, a real-life executive who exposed a giant price-fixing scandal all while running his own shady extortion business behind the scenes. The film follows Whitacre as he tries to balance his work, his lies and his role as an FBI informant.
